You're probably wondering why I want to help plan showers and educate bridesmaids...
Honestly, I've done it a lot. I understand what goes on behind the scenes of every bridal/baby shower or wedding I've ever been to. I know how it feels to have a friend you love so much, but feel lost on how to show that to her through the planning process that can get stressful and overwhelming. I've made mistakes and learned from them. I have been told by many people that I have a gift for understanding and responding to the needs of others. I have always known that I am very creative, and I enjoy creating things for others that bring joy and happiness into their lives. I am able to apply all of these talents to the showers I assist in planning, and the "cakes" I get to make for people. When I am in the process of planning a shower, talking to a bride-to-be about her wedding, or creating a towel cake, I have that Christmas Eve feeling of anticipation and excitement. So, my mission is to provide anyone involved in planning a wedding or a shower with tools to enjoy the experience. Weddings should be fun, not stressful. Planning should be a collaboration between all of the people who love the bride or mommy-to-be to honor her and support her on a day that you will all remember for the rest of your lives. I have had wonderful and not so wonderful experiences in the weddings and baby showers I've been involved in, and I want to use this experience to help others avoid some of the mistakes I've made, and create fun, happy memories with the people that they love.
